A 2D modelling of a unsteady supersonic flow (M=3) which meets a "CFD"-obstacle. The Euler equations for ideal compressible gas are in use. The picture shows color level zones of density, velocities along X and Y axes, internal energy, pressure and vorticity. The flow is finally stabilized. The numerical scheme implements quasi-second order predictor-corrector method with antidiffusion near strong discontinuities like shock waves. Code ASTRA, 1999.
